WALT!: To Make Good Food Choices And Identify Everyday And Occasional Foods.
The other day Brittany from Food For Thoughts came in and talked to us about being healthy.
We talked about what food are occasional and which are everyday,
and we even talked about how having occasional food every day isn't good for your body. After that we played a game where we had to match images of food to the choices! then after that she left and the next day we met her at pak'n save the next day! She explained safety rules and how this shopping challenge works. After we entered the shop me and my group started and milk and dairy products, for our healthy item we did blue milk and for unhealthy we did chocolate milk. then we moved onto bread, me and my group found white bread with a good amount of sugar for unhealthy so we wrote it down and saw wheatmeal and saw that it was was healthier then white bread. So we did that and headed to snack foods! we found a chocolate bar called crunchie and to our surprise in just a little chocolate bar there was 67.5g of sugar!! we put that on the unhealthy list, for healthy we chose cruskits because they had everything clear inside them! then we had cereal and muesli bars left, we did chocolate muesli bar for unhealthy and a protein but bar for healthy, we only had cereal left. for healthy we did rolled oats because it had a good amount of healthy ingredients inside it. and for unhealthy we did coco pops they look healthy but sure are not!! we received a pak'n save voucher! So one day we could had a everyday shared lunch!
